Our comprehensive program of study is designed and taught by musicians for musicians. Being actively involved in the international music community as performers, composers, arrangers and producers combined with many years of teaching experience has led to the development of a rigorous educational program, acknowledged internationally as well as here in France as a successful and effective foundation for a musical career. We are committed to sharing our expertise and providing the best possible educational experience to each student.
International Music Educators of Paris (IMEP) is a private limited company founded in 2011 by the following four musicians and experienced teachers:
François Fichu (Guitar), Peter Giron (Double Bass & Electric Bass), Phil Hilfiker (Saxophone) and Bernard Vidal (Guitar).
The company's objective is to provide a curriculum and an educational structure that are unique in France. The founding members have many years of teaching experience and diverse cosmopolitan backgrounds which encourage international connections and opportunities.
We offer a complete five year program of study in music leading to a professional diploma, which is highly respected and acknowledged worldwide. We provide several other options for study, and all our programs prepare students for a variety of careers in the music industry. As well as providing a comprehensive and balanced program, students also have the opportunity to create a network of fellow musicians and increase the level of their proficiency rapidly. Many of our former students have gone on to enjoy successful careers in the music industry in France and abroad.
